So I've been eating more than I've been shopping since I got here. Not a bad thing but I kinda look/feel bloated. Still not bad as everything taste abso delicious!

Met up with Jacklyn on Saturday evening and started off with few glasses of drinks at a bar called Crystal behind Shinsaibashi-Suji, while I was waiting for a friend of mind to meet us to bring us clubbing (:

The three of us girls (Erin, Jac & I) then headed to Club Azure with David & his friends. First time in an underground club playing pure HipHop/RnB ; it was deff a diff scene.

The next day we did some shopping at Shibuya 109, Jacs last day in Osaka.

Then we tried Fugu and had some sushirolls for dinner.

Not forgetting Neoprints stickers! Yes, we even made mummy do it :p Couldn't help but spend more time around the Glico Man area as there's so much going on there at night!

Paid a little visit to Osaka's Aquarium, then a bit more shopping .

While walking back to Shinbashi District, I tried BBQ Snow Crab! (:

Chiang Mai, Thailand '11 ; pt. I

Visited Chiang Mai not too long ago, my first time there and I actually really love the place! So cool and windy, great food and the locals were sooooo friendly. I dont mind going back for the second time as I didnt get to explore every hidden corner of that particular town.

So when we landed, we were whisked off to the highest point in Chiang Mai, a must-not-miss scenic view of the whole of Chiang Mai

Mind my awkwardness, I barely had sufficient sleep. Stayed up the whole night till I was on the plane for a miserable 2 hours "power nap". Behind me, a view filled withh greeneries and fresh air all around mmm! :)

Then we had a tour around an Opium garden. Yepp, OPIUM! Lol.

Surprisingly Opium flowers are soooo gorg! Who knew they make such illegal substances looool.

Then it was off to the King's summer palace or something. Sorry, bad memory! hahah.

Didnt really take much pictures as we had to walk a good whole 4km to finish the tour! Gosh, my legs were killing me at that point and all I could think of was to find a place to sit! Pheww.

Well, we finally got to check in to our lovely hotel, Royal Princess. It was nice and comfy, if you followed me on Instagram you might've seen how it looked inside (; anyways we managed to catch up on some Z's then it was off to dinner!

We were brought to this really pretty restaurant near a dam, surrounded by sky high trees and lovely scents of autumn flowers everywhere ;

I didnt had time to fix my hair, hence its re-tardiness lol.

I was soooo hungry I forgotten to snap pictures of the other dishes, so sorry. But the meal was awesome and I was stuffed!

Yes, thats my shy sisterr haha.

After that we dropped by the fashion street for some shopping and surprisingly, there was so much to buy I overspent on my first night DDD: EPIC!

Half of what I bought, was too lazy to sort out the rest. Got all these gorgeous pieces for a fraction of its price, yay!

Shinbashi-Namba-GlicoMan, Luxury Boutiques opposite my hotel, and what I saw on the way to the hotel (: Osaka pretty much looks the same since 6 years ago. But I still love everything about Japan!

[ADV] Where's the Party 2#?

WHERE'S THE PARTYYYYYY YOOOOO!
Yeaps its back again, and this time I wasnt gonna miss it for the world!
Held on the 19th of December 2011, guests and party-goers were ushered to a secret location kept secret by theh Carlsberg's staff till the very last minute.

Building on the positive momentum and overwhelming response towards the debut of “Where’s The Party?” (WTP) held in June this year, Carlsberg definitely raised the bar by hosting another outstanding party for more than 2,000 party goers challenging the curiosity of partying in an unknown location.

And guess where the party was held this time...
Yepp, it was held at the one and only very own Carlsberg Malaysia’s Brewery in Shah Alam! Its the facility where the first Carlsberg beer was locally brewed in 1972.

So everyone was held at the Carlsberg lounge for a press conference and got an idea of what to expect for the next few hours.

Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia said “We are thrilled at the extensive reach of Carlsberg’s “Where’s the Party?” and the immense support and interest garnered from consumers.

The main objectives of the party is to create memorable, inspiring moments and experiences for consumers as a way of encouraging them to be bold and stepping up to do the right things. When they think of celebrations and achievements, they will think of the next level with ‘That Calls for a Carlsberg!’”

All partygoers were assigned their own, unique RFID (Radio-Frequency Identity) tags, which enabled them to collate points from the games they played and redeem prizes accordingly. These RFID tags were linked to their Facebook accounts and enabled them to update their Facebook status simply by tagging on the “Like” stations throughout the brewery.

The party incorporated an ‘amusement park’ theme, complete with childhood favourites such as a ferris wheel, pirate ship and an adult carousel.

Some other traditional fun fair booths also included Ring a Green, Toss & Score, Duck Hunt, ‘Our holes, Your balls’ & Wild Wild West.

It was pretty fun as me and Cynthia tried out MOST of the games. Some we just chickened out or just really sucked at it lol.
But managed to score a few points *banggamoment* lols. We also had fun time thanks to the super friendly Carlsberg staff who were really sporting and outgoing, they really kept the mood going. Even if the queue was long, we were laughing all the way till it was our turn.

There were also various group challenge games such as ‘Road Runner’, ‘Peddle to the Bell’ and ‘Dare to Dash?’ which aimed to engage all partygoers and create a community spirit among them.

& with its reputation as the ‘party of the year’, this time, a key highlight of the party was the Sky Ride, which gave partygoers an exhilarating experience of being buoyed by a hot air balloon. Remember the first picture above? The white hugeeee balloon?

Imagine being held up on air ; would've been such a thrill if I didnt have the fear of heights. It looked like so much fun! DD:

Other than that, consumers were also given an opportunity to relive their childhood and be enthralled by circus acts which included stilt walkers, unicyclists, jugglers and balloon sculptors.

To liven up the atmosphere in the evening all through the wee hours the next morning, Carlsberg presented an array of entertaining performances by international DJs, renowned rappers, bands and musicians.

Locally acclaimed performers Dennis Lau and Shawn Lee presented a thumping combination of an electric violin and beat boxing.

Special group appearances by famous Korean star, Lee An, the unforgettably spontaneous star rapper of Carlsberg Malaysia, Mr Soren Ravn along with violinist Dennis Lau awed the party crowd further. Home-grown bands Crossfire and Paperplane Pursuit had the crowd dancing to their chart topping hits.

Not forgetting a stellar performance by High on Heels ;

That's Wei Hui aka Darryne who surely looked like she was having a really good time! ;)

World renowned girl band ‘High on Heels’ also made their first appearance in Malaysia and entertained the crowd with their creative mix of LIVE classical instruments with song mixing on their turntables. “Where’s The Party” came to a close around 2am the following morning after several hours of non-stop music with international DJs; Sophie Sugar from the UK and Hiloco from Japan.

Not only we were served free flow beer but also food! From nasi lemak to hot dogs also COTTON CANDY! :DD I hate a couple of them heehee.

Even with all the drinking involved, Carlsberg’s made sure they stuck to their philosophy of responsible drinking. Carlsberg encouraged all partygoers to enjoy responsibly and in moderation. As part of the ‘Enjoy Responsibly’ campaign, Carlsberg planned engagement activities for consumers such as the Alcohol Testing Zone, where consumers had their alcohol level tested while partying

And I tried out the Drunk Man Zone which enabled consumers to play an android game which showed them the effect of excessive alcohol consumption. These activities served as a reminder for all partygoers to be safe, in control, drink smart and stick to the age limit.

To bad I couldnt win the breathalyzer set )))): wouldnt that come in handy? heehee.

Overall I had a pretty fun night with a couple of close friends and all the darlings from Malaysia's Hottest Blogger's ! *do check out our page* and many thanks to the people from Carlsberg for such a wonderful night.

Tiesto Live in Sepang International Circuit '11 ;

Hello darlinggs!
So I skipped Zoukout for Tiesto. I know, I know, Zoukout wouldve been much more funnn. But guess what, I enjoyed myself fully attending Tiesto! I didnt expect that I could 'layan' his music, but he played more mainstream songs that I heard of and yep, it made my night harhar.

On the way to the venue Agnes and I were already sharing a bottle of wine :p Gosh talk about being an alcoholic!

When we got there Blink was playing his set.

The place was already swarmed with hardcore raverrs.

Attended Bell & Ross : Rebirth of The Classic, weeks ago at Pavilion. Dragged Jeremy and Jeslyn along to accompany me that night (:

Had champagne and cocktails while everyone was busy mingling around at the waiting, we were all psyched to see whats inside!
Soon as the curtains were up, guest were led into the secret location.

Far East Movement live in Kuala Lumpur '11 ;

This was a VERY VERYY last minute decision to head to KL Live to catch Far East Movement live in Kuala Lumpur. Was tempted with the chance of meeting them in person. I still remembered I was stressing out on my studies as I had a paper the day after. But you know whats life without taking a risk, its not like opportunities like these comes by often heehee.

AND WHAT MOREEE TO MEET KEV NISH IN PERSON :DD

So by the time I decided it was around 11pm, I was like what the heck, dragged Erin along with me and headed to KL Live.
Thankfully we got there just in time as they started performing around then.

The crowd was soooo into it, everyone was jumping and singing along.
Exciting!

So we caught the remaining of the performance backstage. And to watch Far East Movements energy as artists and performers was like woah. The effort and hardwork they put into every set was amazing and admirable.

& bump into other friends at the concertt.

Melbourne pt. II

You guys probably wouldn't really remember much since the last post was like earlier this year.
& come to think of it, its already December now. How time flies. I know, I cant stop saying this. But yeah, its freaking DECEMBER already. and I visited Melbourne in May. Wow, what a year. Drastic changes, good and bad. I still hope I can go on living by the line, "Live without regrets" but i'm not really sure about that now 'le sigh. But as time passes, wounds heal and things change. Let's just look at the bright side, and stay positive, always worked for me.

So anyway, back to Melbourne. In total I took 800 pictures over the two and a half week I spent there. I have no idea how many posts I will end up having about Melbourne, but i'll be taking my time on this as, I have too much to update about my life here! haha. But i'm doing this for the great vacation I had there (:

One fine morning, yeah I really do mean fine. It is hardly sunny over there. Or mostly because by the time I wake up its usually 2pm-ish? lol. It was so cold I had trouble getting up from bed. Its too cosy and comfy! :p so yea, had brunch at a Korean Restaurant below A'Beckett.

I love the graffiti overseas. At least people do have the talent and it doesnt end up looking like scribbles/splashes/vomit on the wall.

We headed to Crown. Crown is the biggest casino in Melbourne, its a hotel, shopping mall *with its own theatre*, arcade, and almost all the famous restaurant such as Nobu, and etc, you can find it there.

The sparkly lights and HUGE chandelier. I have a thing for chandeliers lol.

After showing me around, walking through the casino. I dont like gambling, doesn't really interest me, we headed outside, cause I wanted to check out the pier before the sun goes down, so we were kinda in a rush.

I got quite tipsy after two "Welcome" shots from the buddies. Gosh, the shots there are killerrrs weih. And they taste good, making it easy to drink. I was so afraid of getting drunk cause you can't get drunk at clubs in Melbourne, they'll kick you out. So I tried to stay sober after that lol.

well, I danced the night away. Jumped, shout and all that with the girls. It was a fun night indeed. And I seriously dont know how I managed to stand the cold wearing only a dress & a blazer. I remembered shivering my way in the club, but not how I left. The alcohol must have kept me warm haha!

Wasn't use to the fact that you couldnt smoke inside the club, but at least you won't have smelly hair! hehe. and oh, no mamaks or such hence I didnt have supper ): but he was a darl to make me supper. I think we had maggi goreng, lol. Not bad, that boy can cook.

So the next day or so, we made a trip to DFO. Which was wayyyy out of town. But I heard they had good bargains so I had to check it out!

while waiting for the bus, yes a bus. We wanted to take a cab but because of some complications, we settled for public transport. We kinda took some time, but I got to take every different neighborhood, which wasn't as boring as it sound cause every neighborhood had something different.

I know this doesnt show much, but you get the idea *I hope, haha*.

I didnt manage to take a picture of DFO or what so ever cause I was busy shopping! hahaha, was so into it. Not really what I expected but I got a new pair of Nine West boots for a bargain & other small items from Smiggle and etc. Finally got to rest and bought this!

I know I sound damn jakun but its damn sad that we Malaysians only have like 100plus or other not so fancy isotonic drinks. Pffft.

The boys at the train station, I think it was only like 6 or 7pm but it was so dark like it was close to 10pm. That's what I didnt like, the sun was only out for an average of 3-4 hours a day.

Paul Van Dyk @ Sepang International Circuit '11.

I got to experience Paul Van Dyk‘s first ever outdoor appearance in Malaysia on October 22nd 2011. It was part of his “Evolution World Tour” which also featured his new stage concept show with amazing visual architects.

Paul van Dyk will be one of EDM’s next generation superstars and also in the line up was Italian trance producer Giuseppe Ottaviani, which I loved! He killed it on the decks. Plus there was an incredible line up of local talent Terrence C, Phil K and Ian Ross.

Before we headed to the event, met Jeslyn up for dinner nearby and then Louis came to get us in his new ride ;
First time ever sitting in his car and omg, the way he drives *facepalm* I almost died of a heart attack. I was freaking out I buckled up and prayed for my life. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING! I was THAT terrified.

He was slowing down, and then speeding up to the point I cant even take a proper picture -.-"

Finally! Okay, it took us only like 20mins plus to reach? lol.

I looooooove outdoor events, provided the weather is good. But raves are deff meant to be outside. SAY NO TO INDOOR RAVES!
So, here's how the event ground was like. Lots of booths and they even had a stand selling KFC looool.

So the bestie and I had a girls day out, like hungry ghost hunting food haunts lol.

We didnt shop that day but catch up and did loads and loads of nomings!

For brunch we dropped by Plan B since there was so many raves about how fantastic this place is and all. We searched high and low for it, but it was just right infront of Bangsar Village I's entrance #epicfail.

the selection of pastries and such was okayy, not bad, but didn't get to try any ;

Nicely decorated, simple and clean, LIKES!

It was super sunny that day, and omg, really really humid too.

& this is when the bestie 'Tweetjack-ed" my phone.

After the visit at Malaya Optical, dropped by Color Couture for some mani and pedi session since I havent been sayang'ing my nails for ages lols.
Love this color by O.P.I ! It's something like recycle but its under their current collection, forgotten what's it called hmm.

It was my first time in Malaya Optical and as soon as I stepped in I felt like I found myself in 'Eye-Wear heaven' lol. As cheesy as it may sound, you will be amazed by the wide range of eye wear selection consisting of Designer Eyewear that cannot be found in many stores. These designer labels were flown in directly from a round the world by the owner himself. The designer eye pieces are sort after for their quality and uniquess and indivdualism. With that in mind, Ryan Ho, initiated to differentiate themselves from the rest of the pack by being the in the frontier of Eye Wear Styling and Design. He is currently, Malaysia's 1st Eyewear Stylist and Designer. In their practice in Damansara Uptown, they carry huge variety of main stream brands Frames and Sunglasses such as Prada, Gucci, Armani, Dior, Tag Heuer, Oakley, Rudy Project, Rayban, CK, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Fcuk, Fendi, Porsche, and many more.

This state of the art machine test for 5 additional points on the face to reduce the significant levels of distortion arising from the Multifocal Lens distortion, hence providing a more natural and comfortable experience. That's what all the machines for! :D

They also have basic prescription lenses such as Prescription lenses such Transition, UV Protection, Polycarbonate, Polarized and etc. When you need a pair of Single Vision Lenses or Bifocal or even Progressive Lenses, Malaya Optical are the experts! Their Optometrist also treats for Myopia ( Short-sighted ), Hyperopia ( Long sighted ), and Presbyopia( Reading Problems). So fret not, you're well taken care of.

11th October 2011 - Was lucky to be one of the 25 guest invited by Carlsberg Malaysia to an evening of fine foods and beer appreciation -“Fine Dine & Beer with Chef Kern”. Kronenbourg 1664 is the official beer for the Malaysian International Gourmet Festival 2011. This ultimate fine dining was held at Samplings on the Fourteen, Berjaya Times Square Hotel.

Fine dining accompanied with a view like this? It couldnt be more perfect!

Fact : The participation of Carlsberg Malaysia (which imports and distributed Kronenbourg 1664 and a host of other brands which you will see featured below) in the 11th year of the Malaysian International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) offers the best selection of beer, wine and spirits as the ideal companion for gourmet diners to indulge in specially crafted menus at participating MIGF outlets.

Next was Cappuccino of Savanna Dry Cider with Porcini Mushroom.

So for my main course I had the Roasted Medallion of Australian Venison Lion accompanied with Kronenbourg Blanc ;

While Tim had the Grilled American Prime Beef Tenderloin ;

I was enjoying the never ending drinks being served for every different dish, heehee.

Then we had the Hot Corrosol Souffle with Cafe Luwak Sabayon and Inniskillin Ice Wine ;

& of course we had the Ice Wine to go with!

Last but not least, Cafe Amarula Iced. Too bad I dont take coffee so I had Amarula Infused icecreaaaam! Hehee :D

The Met, Kuala Lumpur "Worship your hair!" ;

So I was in search of a new hair saloon because I was in need of a change and also, I wanted to try out something new with my hair ;
been stuck with the same hairstyle & color for more than 6 months now. I was getting bored, period.

Then I came across reviews of a saloon called The Met, Kuala Lumpur. Located in the heart of KL, Parkroyal Hotel to be exact, I was so tempted to try it out!

Quoted : "The Met has two teams to cater to color and cutting services because they believe in providing the best cut and color results. Their strength is professional foiling work for those who love highlights because they know what type of weaves and tones to give to different hair textures. Cutting is also their forte because 90% of their hairdressers were trained by Toni&Guy Hairdressing, a UK based salon. They are well known for giving a long lasting and low maintenance haircuts and they have learnt from them." - which was very true! You'll see the results after!

Called up and made my appointment and popped by The Met, Kuala Lumpur.

It was easy to spot The Met, Kuala Lumpur, as soon as you turned into Parkroyal's main entrance, there it is, on the same row!

As I walked in, I noticed the posters around, look what I spotted :

So as I sat down, I was assisted by my hair stylist and hair color expert, Teng.
They were super friendly and very informative!

After examining my hair, it was set that I have to chop off a few EXTRA inches to achieve this new style making it look more 'livelier' and also it would be easier to maintain. Double yay!

And so the process started with a simple rinse, soak and also hair mask for my scalp. Bear in mind The Met only uses Redken products and mmm did all the shampoos and conditioner smelled uber yummy heehee.

Next was where Teng's (p/s: Teng won L’Oreal Colour Trophy Malaysia 2004 Central Zone) job came in!
The first thing she asked me was, whether I had any restrictions, i.e:- work and such, thats deff said no. I was in a DIRE need of a change, hence I replied, "Do what you think would look good on me! (:" I left the results in her hands whooots!

So here goes the process, first step was the highlights, a few main sections were highlighted, for a 3D effect.

Wacoal Pink Ribbon Campaign @ One Utama.

Attended Wacoal Malaysia's launch of the Pink Ribbon Campaign in conjunction with the breast cancer awareness day two weeks ago at 1 Utama Shopping Center. This event, by Wacoal Malaysia and also Parkson Corporation who is part of the collaboration as well, launched the event to promote breast cancer awareness.

The place was decorated prettily in pink !

Activities and Pink Ribbon giveaways, were located around 1 Utama's Highstreet area and not forgetting Wacoal’s experienced beauty consultants were on hand to assist us on brassiere fitting and such. Apart from that female doctors from Assunta Hospital were presented to provide personal consultations and breast screening!

Remember, early detection saves lives!

Self-examination is a major thing a woman should know of and be done monthly or so. Hence at the event, and also, at all Wacoal counters there will be staffs who would be able to assist you and also teach you on how to perform breast examinations on yourself :)

Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest at One Utama! [ADV]

Hey there guys!

Last Saturday I attended Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest at One Utama brought to you by Carlsberg Malaysia.

With my dancing shoes on I head over to the huge magnormous tent located at One Utama's open air carpark. When I got there the its was filled with people, beer lovers were everywhere to be seen!

People were already joining in the fun, gathering at the middle, where the Oktoberfest ladies were doing the "Chicken Dance". I was shocked to see people from different age groups joining in the fun!

Yes, the crowd, the food and of course beverage of choice brought everyone closer ;) It was definitely something for me to experience, so many beer lovers out there! German brews such as Erdinger Weissbier, Franziskaner Weissbier and Lowenbrau, were all served in Oktoberfest's very own one liter mugs which you could keep, souvenirs! Along-side authentic German & traditional live performances by the German band were the highlights of a great night of fun, girls and of course beer!

We even had our own MHB girl's Wilee and Naomi dressed in cute Oktoberfest Beer Maiden costumes!

Not forgetting games such as the 'Dunk Tank'

- yesss, the venue was so huge that they even had their own dunk tank, lol.

Yes everyone joined in on the fun!

You could imagine the sportsmanship of everyone at the event!

The crowd was all hyped up & laughters and joy filling the air, it was a splendid occasion.

Carlsberg Malaysia really lived up to their month-long extravaganza filled with roaring days of exciting parties, music, authentic gastronomic experiences to whet the appetitie and barrels of Carlsberg, Erdinger Weissbier, Franziskaner Weissbier and Lowenbrau to be were being drained out by the hour!

I was wondering why were people stacking up their empty boxes up so high, apparently it was for a contest. The highest wins?

And trust me, there was more than a couple of 'mug-towers' going on, thinking what would happened if it fell. Haha.

Hey there ; short personal updates.

Life has been treating me well.

Glad that, even if I fall, I could stand back on my feet again.

Not to say I fell hard harhar, but I was trying to find my balance once more through some rough patches I have been going through this year. I finally found some contentment in things I have to myself. It might not be awesome to some but I love and appreciate what I have/do now, couldnt ask for more ;

Its hard to share everything in public, especially when I do enjoy writing stuff like this long time ago, but everyone is there to judge you, hence, certain things are better left unsaid.

The early start of this year was shit, but it slowly picked up from then after.

Did silliest things like, late night drinking by the road side in a sexaaayy convertible, talking about life and future goals, to random trips up to Genting where I first stepped inside Genting's casino! haha. Getting more involved in things I love doing, putting more effort into them (I'm finally seeing some results, yay!) Catching up with long lost friends (well not that long and lost but I had to give up and sacrifice a part of my freedom cause of someone and somethings) who inspires me, people who gave me great advices about life from things they've been through (how time flies and theyre all at the age of stability and settling down, haha! They must be 'old' :p) and where I go about from here, its a fresh start -- new risk, I'm being more spontaneous and outgoing then I've ever been, doing things that I never thought I would do, yes I can be shy like that eventhough I do not seem like the type of person who would be.

And as years passes me by, every year a new lesson, the smallest negative thing (i.e. gossips, backstabbing, etc) doesnt seem to bother me anymore, I guess one day we finally learn how to grow up and deal with things, instead of letting them affect and take control of your life. What's more important to be worried and thought off, and what to just brush of your shoulderrs. If you've been reading my blog for years, you'll know the issues I had to deal with. If you dont, I hope you feel encouraged after what I rambled above harhar. Even if I do go through the same shit every year, but with every lesson learnt, I find it easier and better to deal with, not necessarily I grew stronger, but I got wiser (; I've surrounded myself with positivity and go-with-the-flow attitude, taking baby steps along the way (It is never to late to realize and make up for lost time, as long as you do something about it lol), bye bye negativity and self destruction!

I'm glad that I went through all of that, something, someone put me through (I dont blame anyone by the way) because it made me see how much life awaits, and dont ever live in denial but look at the bigger picture! Yes I know you heard that many times, but you won't realize how true it is till you live through it.

It was finally time for Arthurs Day, boy was I excited.

Thank god I got discharged from the hospital just in time, well if some of you didnt know I was admitted for a serious case of viral infection. Hence, you prolly can see I still had my hospital tag on my wrist that night, lol -- talk about hardcore max!

Anyways, drove over to Seewai's place with Erin with me.

Malaysia's own OKTOBERFEST!

yes, you've heard it right. Malaysia is having its own Oktoberfest brought to you by Carlsberg Malaysia.

Now we can all grab our lederhosen and get ready to celebrate the world renowned Bavarian national festival!

The festival, runs from 21 September to 20 October 2011 at over 25 participating outlets and 18 market squares throughout Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Seremban and Johor. So you dont really have to go far!

Everyone can join in the fun! Double yay!

To celebrate this awesome festival, Carlsberg Malaysia is having a month-long extravaganza with on-going fun parties (at almost every state in the country!! :D), music, delicious food to fill your tummy while your enjoying your beer such as Franziskaner Weissbier, Erdinger Weissbier, and Lowenbrau to name a few.
